Cobourg Woman Wins 2019 Dodge Caravan And Gives It To Her Daughter

In News

May 8, 2019 is a day Alexis Beemer-Brown will remember for a long, long time.

It’s not because something bad happened, in fact, it’s the contrary.

On April 26, 2019 Beemer-Brown was handed the keys to her new home by Habitat for Humanity Northumberland.

On May 8, she was cleaning up the backyard and found numerous old horseshoes.

Although she didn’t think anything of it then, just a few hours later she received a call from her mother, Bonnie White.

“She called me and was hysterical crying and I couldn’t understand what she was saying,” said Beemer-Brown.

What she didn’t know at that time, was her mother had just found out she’d won a brand new 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan in a draw.

At first Beemer-Brown thought something bad had happened to the family.

“I couldn’t tell, then two or three seconds went by and she caught her breath and said, “I just won and van and I’m giving it to you.”

White had put her name in for“The Get to Know Caravan Event” which was held in conjunction with Absolute Results who coordinated the nation-wide contest for all customers who registered at participating dealerships starting in February 1, 2019 until April 30, 2019.

“This is awesome because our old van is ready to move on,” said an elated Beemer-Brown.

But just to keep the good luck going Beemer-Brown brought one of the horse shoes with her when she picked up her new van.

With four children and a grand-daughter, the van will be a perfect fit for the family.
