Northumberland OPP Celebrates Police Week

May 12 -18, 2019 is Police Week in Ontario -. It is an opportunity to enhance community awareness and recognition of policing services by strengthening police-community relationships. It provides the police a way to connect with their communities and increase awareness about the services we provide.
On Thursday May 16, 2019 between 10am – 2pm members of the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) will be holding an event at King E dward Park located at 75 Elizabeth Street, Brighton. We will be promoting and displaying many of the resources and specialty units the OPP has available to ensure the safety and security of the people from the Province of Ontario and the communities we serve.
Some of the exciting features of this event include:
A tour of the Brighton OPP Detachment (95 Dundas Street, Brighton)
The opportunity to meet and mingle with our staff members
View many of the OPP vehicles that will be on display
Marine Vessel
Motorized Snow Machines
All-Terrain Vehicles
Motorcycle
Various types of patrol vehicles
OPP Specialty Units
Crime Stoppers (your opportunity to purchase tickets to win the Ultimate Outdoor package which includes a Yamaha Wolverine 700 EPS and aluminum Triton Trailer)
A BBQ lunch courtesy of Mike & Lori’s No Frills, Sobeys Brighton, & Brighton Springs Water.
