Semi-Annual Cab Re-Calibration of Local Taxi’s In Cobourg

Staff from the Town of Cobourg including by-law and the licensing officer were re-calibrating taxi’s on Workman Road in Cobourg’s east end on Friday, May 10, 2019.
Approximately 20 taxi’s mainly from Cobourg, but some from Port Hope had their meter’s calibrated, by going driving a certain distance to make sure the meter has the correct reading when charging customers.
Proper licensing of the cabs and driver’s was also checked along with tires and making sure the cab is in good running order.
