Alnwick-Haldimand Township Seeks Members for Boards and Committees

The Corporation of the Township of Alnwick-Haldimand has issued a call for residents of the municipality who are interested in serving the community on a number of boards and community-enhancement committees.
The list includes Heritage Alnwick-Haldimand and History of Heritage Cemeteries, Vernonville Community Centre, Fenella Community Centre, Centreton Community Centre, Alnwick Civic Centre, Alnwick-Haldimand Community Policing Committee, Police Services Board, Public Library Board, Grafton Communal Water Committee, Roseneath Revitalization Committee.
Participation with these boards and committees offers the unique opportunity not only to learn more about their community but also to meet others with common interests and to share one’s knowledge, experience and skills in a way that enhances the quality of life for everyone.
Anyone interested in volunteering for any of these committees must complete and submit a Volunteer Confidentiality Form and Application Form (along with a valid Vulnerable Sector Police Check) on or before April 24. The first two forms are available at http://alnwickhaldimand.icompasscms.com/content/volunteer-opportunities-and-committees. The application form for a free Vulnerable Sector Police Check is available at the municipal office at 10836 County Rd. 2 in Grafton (as the form requires the municipal seal prior to taking it to the Northumberland OPP detachment.
Completed submissions will be accepted by mail (P.O. Box 70, Grafton ON K0K 2G0) or at the drop box on the front door of the township hall.
