Northumberland Hills Hospital Foundation board chair Tyler Hathway accepted Happy New Year wishes at the hospital board’s April meeting – but in fact, April 1 is the first day of the foundation’s new 2019-2020 fiscal year.
Accepting board member Catherine Tozer’s greeting, he said that their balance sheet is now back to zero – but the old year that has just passed away brought the wonderful news of $3.4-million in revenues raised during the 2018-2019 period.
“Our expenses came in at 94% of our budget projections, so we have a win on both sides,” Hathway continued.
Looking ahead, they are budgeting for $2.4-million to be raised in the new year.
“We have developed a comprehensive plan to get us to that goal,” Hathway said.
He was also quite pleased to share the news that the foundation board executive had held a first joint meeting with the hospital board executive and senior hospital staff to begin work on a long-term vision for capital planning.
