In Local

Alnwick/Haldimand Township firefighters responded to a roof fire on Danforth Road north of County Road 2 on Sunday, March 24, 2019 at approximately 5:40 p.m.
Today’s Northumberland arrived before emergency services and found the owner of the home trying to extinguish the flames from the roof.
Apparently a ceiling fan caught fire in the bathroom and spread into the roof.
The homeowner may have prevented the fire from spreading along with firefighters quickly arriving on scene.
Damage is estimated at $10,000.
