“Yard and Garden Pollinators”
Saturday, March 30th from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The Cobourg Public Library is hosting a program on pollinators–just in time for spring!! Join us on Saturday, March 30 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Rotary Room of the Library for a presentation on the importance of native plants for native species of birds and insects. Naturalist Elizabeth Kellogg will explore ways you can encourage pollinators to frequent your yard and gardens.
In addition to being a well-know local birder, Elizabeth Kellogg is a nature history writer and licensed bird bander. She has several long-term nest box banding projects at Darlington Nuclear Generating Station, Alderville Black Oak Savanna and Wesleyville OPG site.
Come discover how you can create a healthy yard and garden that will attract bees, butterflies, and birds. The Library is also a great place to find books on the topic of pollinators—resources can be found on display in the foyer and on the second floor of the Library.
All welcome. No registration required.
