Controlled Burn Gets Attention From The Public

In Local

A controlled burn got a bit more attention than warranted on Tuesday, March 19, 2019.

At approximately 6:30 members of the Hamilton Township Fire Department and Cobourg Fire Department were called to the area of Workman Road, just north of County Road 2 east of Cobourg after being called for a “large fire.”

When crews arrived it was discovered the person had obtained a proper burn permit and everything was in order.
