The Cobourg Police Service will receive recognition as a leading employer by the Ontario Council of the Canadian Forces Liaison Council at an upcoming event.
The event is to recognize organizations that employ Canadian Forces Reserve members, or are academic institutions that reservists attend, that have been singled out for their exceptional support to the CAF Reserve.
The award winners have either provided a means by which our members can undertake their training or deploy on operations, without penalty to their civilian or academic careers.
“On behalf of the Canadian Forces Liaison Council (CFLC), I am pleased to advise that your organization was nominated for a provincial award by your employee, Corporal Amrit Gill, who was a member of The Hastings and Prince Edward Regiment, a Canadian Armed Forces reserve unit in your community.”states Honourary Colonel Westeinde who is also the Provincial Chair of the awards.
Gill was a Special Constable with the Cobourg Police Service before becoming a Constable recently.
The Cobourg Police Service has been selected from approximately 100 nominations to receive recognition as a leading employer in Ontario, in respect of supporting the mission of the Canadian Armed Forces Reserve.
“Congratulations on this award and I look forward to meeting you,” states Honourary Colonel Westeinde to Chief Kai Liu who has been invited along with Gill to the ceremony in Toronto on Tuesday, March 19.
