Cobourg Police – Man Arrested for Cause Disturbance and Assault Police.

Cobourg Police stated, “unknown man arrested for assault police.”

At approximately 11:00 P.M. on Thursday the 28th of February 2019 members of the Cobourg Police Service responded to the area of a downtown business for a report of a man who was screaming and yelling at passing cars. On arrival, members of the Cobourg Police Service spoke with the man. The man refused to identify himself.
The man was placed under arrest for cause disturbance and upon being handcuffed, the man began fighting with Police, kicking an officer several times. The man continued to fight until Police eventually gained control of the man and place him into a Police cruiser.
The man is charged with Cause Disturbance, Assault Police and Obstruct Police and will appear in Bail court on the 1st day of March, 2019.
