Durham Police – Uber Driver Arrested For Impaired Driving by Drug in Oshawa

A 36-year-old male Uber driver was arrested for impaired driving after operating a motor vehicle with a fare in the backseat in Oshawa.
On Wednesday, February 7, 2019, at approximately 2:20 a.m., an officer from Central East observed a black Mazda 5 van on Simcoe Street and William Street in Oshawa. The vehicle was observed swerving in and out of lanes, at one point driving into oncoming traffic. The driver was stopped and arrested for being impaired by drug. There was a customer in the backseat at the time of the offence. She did not suffer any injuries.
Mujib RASHIDI, age 36 of Ajax, was charged with Impaired Operation of a Conveyance – by Drug. He was later released on a Promise to Appear.
