Cobourg Police – Assault With A Weapon

The Cobourg Police Service has charged a 44 year old Cobourg resident assault with a weapon.

On Wednesday the 30th Day of January 2019 at about 9:35am, officers of the Cobourg Police Service responded to a call of a male who had assaulted another adult male known to him. The male victim, assaulted with a solid glass ashtray, received minor injuries which were treated at the Northumberland Hills Hospital
As a result of the police investigation, 44 year old Stephen Liggins of Cobourg was arrested and charged with Assault with a weapon. Stephen Liggins was subsequently released on a promise to appear and undertaking.
