Breaking News – Cobourg Police Issue Press Release on Stabbing

On December 26, 2018 at 11:54 p.m. Cobourg Police issued a release.

On Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at approximately 6:30pm, Officers of the Cobourg Police Service received a report of a male who reportedly had walked into Northumberland Hills Hospital suffering from stab wounds.

The male was treated for his injuries and subsequently released.

At this time the investigation is remains ongoing.

Cobourg Police are currently investigating a stabbing that took place earlier this evening on December 26, 2018.

Few details are being released at this point but its believed the victim was driven to Northumberland Hills Hospital.

A police officer on scene told Today’s Northumberland shortly after 7 p.m. there was no word on the severity of the stabbing.

At approximately 7:30 p.m. a tow truck arrived at the Emergency entrance of the hospital and towed away a vehicle that had police seal tape on the doors.

One report said the stabbing happened a short distance away in a parking lot, but police would not confirm.
