Assault and Threatening

A 20 year man and a 17 year old young person are facing charges of assault and threatening after Port Hope Police commenced an investigation in to an incident that occurred on the 17th of September in The Highland Dr. /Cavan Street area. Shortly after 3:00pm Police responded to the area after receiving a call from the complainant.  Police were told the complainant was allegedly threatened and pushed by two people who surrounded him while he was walking in the area.  Police identified the two individuals and they were later arrested at a residence in the northern area of the Port Hope Urban centre.  They are charged with assault level 1 and threatening to cause bodily harm

 

Attempt Break and Enter.

On the 19th of September shortly after midnight Port Hope Police were called to the Petro Canada Service Station on Toronto Road for an attempt smash and grab.  The station is under renovations and is currently closed for business.  A vehicle entered the area pass the barricades and a male exited the vehicle using a club smashed the front door window.  The attempt was interrupted and the male fled in the vehicle.  Police are looking for a sliver four door sedan unknown make or model.  Anyone with information is asked to call Port Hope Police or Crime Stoppers.
