Port Hope Police – Road Rage Incident During Filming of Largo

Theft of high end BMX bike

A Bolton family received a rude welcoming to Port Hope after a BMX bike was stolen from the back of their pickup truck  On August 8th the family were passing through on the way to Montreal and stopped in Port Hope to visit some sights. They stopped down town at about 1:30pm to get something to eat. While they were eating someone removed a BMX bike that was in the back of the pickup. When the family returned to their vehicle they notice the bike missing.  The bike is described as a Hyper Wizard BMX described as “jet fuel or oil slick” in colour.  Anyone with information on who may be responsible for this theft is asked to call Port Hope Police @905-885-8123, email phps@phps.on.ca or call crime stoppers.

Road Rage Incident

Port Hope Police is investigating a road rage incident that occurred down town during the Largo Filming session July 31st.  A person working for the film company was crossing the road at Walton and Ontario Streets when someone driving an older model champagne coloured sedan accelerated towards her and then “slammed” on the breaks just a few feet away from the person. The man then accelerated again passing the person laughing. He is described as older with a white beard and balding. Anyone with information on who this person may be is asked to call Port Hope Police @905-885-8123, email phps@phps.on.ca or call crime stoppers.
