Restricted Access Along The Ganaraska River Begins In Port Hope

In Editor Choice, Local

It appears fishing has come to an end for sometime on the west side of the Ganaraska River in Port Hope south of the railway tracks.
Public access to the west side of the Pier, south of the Viaducts is restricted due to ongoing construction work. Anglers can still access the river from the east side, south of the tracks.
“We have been reaching out to stakeholders in the fishing community and others that enjoy use of the waterfront and we have informed them of the project and restrictions to public access in the area while work is underway,” said Bill Daly, Communications Specialist Canadian Nuclear Laboratories Historic Waste Program Management Office.
