DROWNING VICTIM RECOVERED

The victim, 40 year old Todd SIMPSON of Clarington, Ontario was recovered last night, July 3, 2018 at 5:45pm by the OPP’s Underwater Search and Recovery Unit.

(MUNICIPALITY OF TRENT LAKES, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and emergency crews were called to Pigeon Lake in the Municipality of Trent Lakes for a boating incident, shortly after 6:00pm last evening.

A 40 year old male was swimming off his personal houseboat with friends and is currently unaccounted for. The male was attempting to assist a female swimmer who was struggling in the water. The female made it back onto the boat but the male did not.

The OPP’s Underwater Search and Recovery Unit as well as marine units from the Peterborough County OPP and the City of Kawartha Lakes OPP are assisting with the search.
