Hands Of Time Temporarily Removed From Victoria Hall

In City Hall
.

It didn’t take long for people to notice things weren’t quite right on the clock tower of Victoria Hall.
Sally LeBlanc who is in charge of maintenance for Victoria Hall said she was receiving calls within an hour after the hands of the face of the clock on the east side were removed on Monday, June 4, 2018.
The set of hands on east face have be sent to be re-fabricated. Once they return the mechanism of the clock will be replaced as well as part of this project. Workers took the east hands as the clock motor was acting up.
The other three faces on the north, south and west side still have their hands in place.
New hands are being made for all the clock faces and a new motor system.
Victoria Hall Volunteers are paying for half of the cost of the project which is estimated at $30,000.
