The County of Northumberland has announced that June 23 will bring a wonderful occasion to celebrate the community’s diversity at the fourth annual Northumberland Multicultural Day.
It’s a time to enjoy tastes, sights and sounds from around the globe in Port Hope’s Memorial Park between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Organizers will welcome more than two dozen vendors who are offering food, artisanal creations and a variety of displays, not to mention a line-up of entertainment ranging from a sword-fighting display by Blades of Glory to a performance by the Bollywood Queens. The county is offering a complete listing at www.WelcomeToNorthumberland.ca/MulticulturalDay.
“This event represents a wonderful opportunity every year to celebrate our thriving newcomer community, and the economic and cultural vibrancy that new Canadians contribute to Northumberland,” Warden Mark Lovshin stated in the county’s press release.
“I encourage everyone to join us for this year’s Multicultural Day, where a mosaic of food, crafts, music and entertainment will be featured for the whole family to enjoy.”
