Man Arrested for Assault

The Cobourg Police have charged a man after responding to a domestic dispute at a residence.
On Wednesday the 30th of May, 2018, at approximately 8:30 pm, police responded to a residence near the downtown core after receiving a report of a domestic disturbance.
As a result of the ensuing police investigation, a man was charged with assault, mischief, and assault police under the Criminal Code and is being held in custody pending a Show Cause Hearing. The identity of the accused will not be released in order to protect the identity of the victim in this matter.
