Vehicle Stop Results in Drug Charge and Arrest Warrant – Cobourg Police

On Sunday, April 29, 2018 at approximately 7:10PM, a Cobourg Police officer attempted to stop a vehicle that had several persons inside. One of the occupants was recognized, and was believed to be in violation of release conditions for previous offences.
The driver of the vehicle stopped in a residential parking lot on King Street West, after committing several traffic violations with Police behind them. A male passenger fled from the vehicle, while the male driver and a female passenger were arrested.
Michael COLE, 44 years of age from Cobourg, was released from custody after being charged with possession of a controlled substance under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
Desiree IRWIN, 26 years of age from Port Hope, was released on a Promise to Appear for an outstanding warrant that had been issued.
