Person In Wheelchair Struck By Vehicle In Port Hope

A woman in a motorized wheelchair suffered minor injuries when she was struck by a car backing out of a driveway on Sherborne Street in Port Hope on Tuesday afternoon around 4:30 p.m.

The motorized wheelchair was on the roadway when the vehicle backed into it tipping it over.  The woman suffered minor injuries.  Port Hope Police say the driver of the vehicle is charged with careless driving.
