Port Hope Police – Collision Results In Charges

Motor vehicle collision results in charges.

A 29 year old Port Hope man is facing charges after a single motor vehicle collision Friday Night. Shortly before 10:00pm the man was driving his vehicle westbound on Centennial Blvd when he lost control of the vehicle, mounted the curb and struck a tree located on Centennial Drive.  Emergency Services were dispatched to the scene.  There was significant damage to the front of the vehicle.  Port Hope Police commenced an investigation into the accident and subsequently arrested the driver shortly thereafter. Aaron William Thompson is charged with impaired care and control of a motor vehicle and care and control if a motor vehicle with excess blood alcohol.  He appears in court later in April.
