Port Hope Police – SIU Investigation

The special investigations unit is investigating an incident after Port Hope Police were involved in the arrest of a male for an outstanding warrant. The incident occurred on Friday April 6th shortly after 6:00pm in the municipalities east end.  The male was injured during the interaction. He was transported to NHH treated and released back to Port Hope officers. The S.I.U was contacted as per policy and they invoked their mandate.  As a result, there will be no further release of information disseminated by the Port Hope Police Service.  Any inquiries should be directed to the Special Investigations Unit.
