Moving Time In Cobourg

In Community, Local

A house overlooking Lake Ontario was moved to its new location in Colborne on Wednesday, (February 28, 2018) morning.

Workers from Pollard The Mover have been getting the 1,500 square foot Lakeshore Road home ready for the move for approximately two weeks.

The home was split into two pieces for the move and the total weight is approximately 30 tonnes.

Workers were ready when the OPP escort arrived at 9 a.m. and after negotiating around a few parked vehicles, the convoy traveled south on Coverdale Avenue before heading east on County Road 2 and out of sight to its new home in Colborne
