Pedestrian Struck Downtown Campbellford

(CAMPBELLFORD, ON) –On February 12, 2018 at 11:04 a.m. the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a pedestrian struck on Bridge Street East at Front Street North in Campbellford.

The victim, a 56 year old Trent Hills woman, was transported to hospital by ambulance where she was pronounced deceased.

OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators/Reconstructionists are presently at scene assisting detachment members with the investigation.

Bridge Street East from Front Street North to Doxsee Ave is presently closed to traffic with an anticipated closure of several hours to allow for the investigation.

**Bridge Street East is now re-opened to traffic.**

The investigation continues in to the cause of the collision.
