Everyone’s a winner with the Flavours of Cobourg event that runs March 8 to 20 – it’s a boost for local restaurants, and their patrons get to try new menu items and maybe even come up a winner.

Many partners have come together to make this new spin on the annual Savoury Celebrations event – the Town of Cobourg’s Community Services Division, Economic Development Department, as well as Experience Cobourg, the Downtown Business Improvement Area and the Northumberland Central Chamber of Commerce, with funding through FedDev Ontario an the Regional Relief Recovery Fund.

This period will see participating businesses offer prix fixe lunch and dinner menus (which you can have a look at by visiting flavoursofcobourg.ca), and you can enjoy these via curbside pick-up, take-out or – where COVID-19 restrictions permit – booking a reservation.

And as an incentive to participate, Experience Cobourg will be giving away prizes to those who try more than one restaurant or menu as reflected on the Culinary Passport (also at flavoursofcobourg.ca).

It all boils down to four easy steps.

1 – Visit flavoursofcobourg.ca to view the list of participating businesses.

2 – Order curbside pick-up, take-out, delivery or a reservation at any of the restaurants.

3 – Keep your receipts and track your participation.

4 – Submit your Culinary Passport by April 2 for a chance to win.

All submissions will go into a draw to win one of 10 gifts valued at $100 at local businesses of the winner’s choosing.

And in anticipation of the March 8 launch of Flavours of Cobourg, residents have another opportunity to win a gift card for a participating restaurant.

Follow Experience Cobourg on Facebook – on Feb. 19 and 22, residents who give the correct answer to a skill-testing question will go into a draw to win one of the $100 gift cards.

Or tune into the morning show on Northumberland 89.7 on February 24/25 or 93.3 MyFM daily from Feb. 22 through 26 during the morning show and listen for your chance to win a gift card.
