Northumberland OPP – Peterborough Man Facing Charges of Dangerous Driving, Stunt Driving, Driving While Under Suspension (No Name Released)

An individual is facing a number of charges after being stopped for travelling at 157 kilometers per hour (km/h) in a posted 80 km/h zone.

On November 15, 2023, at approximately 9:10 p.m., a member of the Northumberland Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting radar enforcement on County Road 28 in the Municipality of Port Hope.

A 28-year-old male from Peterborough, has been charged with the following:

  • Dangerous Operation
  • Drive motor vehicle – Perform stunt
  • Driving while under suspension

The accused received an additional 30-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a 14-day vehicle impoundment.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg at a future date.
