Cobourg Police – Cobourg Woman Charged with Impaired (No Name Released)

A 41-year-old Cobourg woman faces impaired charges after police responded to a call Wednesday afternoon.

On Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at 2:45 p.m., police were called to a parking lot on Division Street for a report of an impaired driver. It was reported that an individual was sitting in a vehicle in possession of an open container of alcohol.

Police located the vehicle matching the description and found an individual passed out in the driver’s seat in possession of an unsealed bottle of alcohol with the car running.

The individual was arrested for impaired operation and brought before a breath technician. The accused declined to provide a breath sample.

As a result of the police investigation, a 41-year-old Cobourg woman was arrested and charged with operation while impaired by alcohol, refusal to comply with demand, and obstructing a peace officer.

The accused was released on an undertaking with a future court date
