Cobourg Police – Person Charged with Stunt Driving

Cobourg police have charged a 41-year-old man with stunt driving.

On Tuesday, July 12, 2022, police conducting speed enforcement in the area of Elgin Street West and Wilkins

Gate stopped a vehicle travelling 126km/h in a zone with a posted speed limit of 50km/h.

As a result, the Cobourg man was charged with:

• Drive Motor Vehicle perform stunt under section 172(1) of the Highway Traffic Act

The vehicle was impounded for 14 days, and the driver’s licence was suspended for 30 days.
