Cobourg Police – Break and Enter (Name Released)

A Cobourg woman has been charged with break and enter after police received a report of theft of packages.

On Tuesday, May 3, 2022, police receive a report of a break and enter at an address on William Street. The caller reported that at 3:00 a.m. that morning, an unknown person had forced open the lock, entered the lobby of the residential building, and taken two packages.

Upon reviewing video surveillance footage, police were able to identify a person of interest. As a result of the police investigation, police located and arrested 35-year-old Lindsey Turland of Cobourg. She was charged with the following offences:

1. Break and Enter Commit contrary to section 348(1)(b) of the Criminal Code

2. Fail to Comply Probation contrary to section 733.1(1) of the Criminal Code

The accused was held in custody pending a show cause hearing on Wednesday, May 4, 2022.
