Durham Region – Officers Arrest Impaired Driver with Seven-Year-Old Passenger

A 38-year-old male faces impaired charges after driving with his seven-year-old daughter in his vehicle Saturday evening.

On Saturday, June 16, 2018, at approximately 7:30 p.m., members of North Division responded to the Cannington area after the alleged impaired suspect left a residence in his vehicle with his seven-year-old daughter. Police were able to locate the vehicle in Pefferlaw and the driver was taken into custody. The young passenger was not injured.

A 38-year-old male from Pefferlaw is charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Exceed 80 mgs. He was released on a Promise to Appear. His name is being withheld to protect the identity of the child.
