Kawartha Lakes OPP – Suspects Arrested for Theft of Copper Wire

Members of the City of Kawartha Lakes Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charged three North York residents with break and enter, and theft of cooper wire from a business in Manvers Township.

On December 27, 2021, at approximately 11:15 p.m., officers were called to a business in Manvers Township, regarding suspects observed at the location removing spools of cooper wire. The call became multijurisdictional as the suspects left the scene prior to police arrival. City of Kawartha Lakes OPP, Peterborough OPP a nd Durham Regional Police worked together to locate the vehicles and arrest the suspects.

As a result of the investigation, Jozsef HORVATH, 36 years of age, and

Aladar RACZ, 40 years of age, both of North York, have each been charged with:

  • Theft Over $5,000
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 – two counts
  • Break and Enter a place – commit indictable offence

 

Richard SEBOK, 33 years of age, of North York, has also been charged with aforementioned charges, in addition to:

  • Mischief over $5,000
  • Possession Break-In Instruments

The accused are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay, on January 27, 2021.
