Cobourg’s Mason Flesch has been named to Canada’s senior men’s team for its upcoming November fixtures in Portugal and Belgium.

Flesch, a former St. Mary Catholic Secondary School Thunder player, played professionally in Major League Rugby for the Toronto Arrows this season.

Canada’s upcoming roster features both familiar faces from recent matches as well as new players like Flesch as the club will get strong competition from Portugal and Belgium.

“We’re excited about the selections for November,” Canada senior men’s head coach Kingsley Jones stated in a release. “We’re excited to continue on with some continuity and cohesion. It’s largely a young team, which is what we’ve been working with. There will be opportunities for select players to get some starts.”

Canada will face Portugal this Saturday, Nov. 6 in Lisbon and Belgium on Nov. 13 in Brussels.
