Cobourg Police Services Holds Additional Public Focus Group Session

A virtual focus group session scheduled for Tuesday, November 9th, at 6:30 pm will allow residents to share their feedback.

The Cobourg Police Services Board Strategic Planning Committee is holding a virtual focus group session on Tuesday, November 9th, from 6:30–7:30 pm.

Last month the planning committee hosted in-person focus groups (on October 19th) to hear from residents and business owners regarding the Cobourg Police Service (CPS) 2022–2024 strategic plan. It was an opportunity to hear first-hand from the community about their public safety concerns and policing priorities.

Initial feedback following the in-person focus groups revealed a number of Cobourg residents who wanted to participate were unable to attend. CPS has now arranged for an online meeting so additional members of the community can also take part in this important discussion that affects the future of policing in Cobourg.

This virtual meeting—being facilitated by a third party to promote open and honest dialogue—will be another chance to dive deeper into quantitative results and for Cobourg residents to share their thoughts on criminal activity in town, the police service, and where CPS should focus its priorities over the next three years.

No preparation is required, only your presence and great ideas.
