Durham Regional Police – Operator of Support Clinic in Bowmanville Charged with Assault

A 29-year-old female has been charged with assaulting a child at a Bowmanville learning centre for Autistic children.  

 

On Wednesday, October 27, 2021, investigators from the Major Crime – Special Victim’s Unit arrested the owner/Clinical Director of Think Tank Therapy in Bowmanville with assault. It is alleged that on two separate occasions, the suspect physically assaulted a non-verbal eight-year-old child. It is believed that the assaults occurred early October of 2021.

 

Investigators are working with Durham Children’s Aid Society and the family of the victim.

 

Michelle GALLAGHER, age 29, of Clarington is charged with Assault x2. She was released on an Undertaking.

 

Investigators want to ensure there are no other victims.
