Cobourg Police – Man Arrested for Operation while Prohibited

On Thursday, October 14, 2021, at 2:10 p.m., police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of
Depalma Drive and Burnham Street.

As a result of police investigation, officers learned the driver was under a Canada-wide driving prohibition.
The driver was arrested, and a quantity of suspected crystal methamphetamine was located during a search of
the vehicle.

Marcel LAFRAMBOISE, a 38-year-old man from Bewdley was charged with the following offences:

1) Operation while prohibited contrary to section 320.18 of the Criminal Code

2) Possession of a Schedule I Substance contrary to section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances
Act

LAFRAMBOISE was released on an Appearance Notice with a future court date.
