Peterborough Lakers Defeat Cobourg Kodiaks On Sunday At The CCC

In Photo Gallery, Sports

On Sunday June 10th, the Cobourg Nissan Kodiaks took on the Peterborough Lakers at the Cobourg Community Centre. The Kodiaks fought hard, and although the final score was 12-5 for the Lakers, the shots on goal truly reflect the endeavours made, with those actually being relatively even.
Peterborough’s goalie, Doug Buchan, had a great game and he definitely swayed it in their favour, even with best efforts from the Kodiaks.
The Kodiaks were playing short handed and were missing seven regulars because of NLL scheduling, and work commitments.
The Kodiaks dominated the third period and beat the Lakers 4-2. The Lakers were very chippy in the third, taking 34 minutes in penalties. Unfortunately, despite the momentum the Kodiaks found, they were not in a position for a win by that time in the game.
With the anticipated return of some key NLL players, the Kodiaks are feeling motivated and ready to go.
The Kodiaks have their first away game on June 13th against the Brooklin Redmen.
The Cobourg Nissan Kodiaks next home game is Sunday June 17th when they host the Brooklin Redmen. Game starts at 6pm at the Cobourg Community Centre. Tickets are available at the door.
