Sudden Death in Oshawa Being Investigated by Homicide Unit

Police continue to investigate the death of a 24-year-old male at a residence on Bloor Street East in Oshawa.

On Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at approximately 2 a.m. emergency services were called to a residence on Bloor Street East regarding a male with life-threatening injuries. Officers arrived and discovered the male with obvious signs of trauma, consistent with a gunshot wound. Attempts to revive the male failed.

The death is currently being investigated by the DRPS Homicide Unit, with the support of the Forensic Identification Unit, Central East Division and other officers. Officers are canvassing the neighbourhood and looking for any video from the area.

No arrests have been made at this time.
