City of Kawartha Lakes OPP – Shots Fired in Bobcaygeon

Just after 9:30p.m. on June 12, 2021 officers from the City of Kawartha Lakes detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended the area of Front Street in Bobcaygeon in response to a report of gunshots being fired.

Initial investigation indicated that a sport bike style motorcycle approached a Ford F-150 pickup truck and fired multiple shots. Both vehicles sped away from the area and a second round of gun fire occurred in the vicinity of Anne Street and East Street. At this time there are no report ed injuries and no public safety concerns.

An officer from the OPP’s Forensic Identification Services attended the scene to assist with the investigation. 

Police are working to identify the involved parties and request that anyone having information related to this occurrence contact the City of Kawartha Lakes OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Information can also be reported anonymously by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or by going to www.khcrimestoppers.com and submitting an anonymous tip online.
