Cobourg Police – Warrant and Theft Arrest

In the early morning hours of Thursday, June 3, 2021, police conducted a traffic stop on Division Street in the
Town of Cobourg on a vehicle occupied by two individuals wanted by the Cobourg Police Service.


As a result of this investigation, police arrested both individuals. During the arrest, police located a small
quantity of crystal methamphetamine on one of the vehicle’s occupants.


Amber Waterworth, a 25-year-old woman from Millbrook, was charged with the following offences:

Possession of a Schedule I Substance – to wit Fentanyl – Contrary to Section 4(1) of the Controlled
Drugs and Substances Act

Fail to Comply with Appearance Notice – Court/ Fingerprinting – Contrary to Section 145(3) of the
Criminal Code of Canada
Waterworth was released on an appearance notice with a future court date.
Cody Puffer, a 31-year-old man from Cobourg, was charged with the following offences:

Theft Under $5000 – Contrary to Section 334(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada

Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 – Contrary to Section 355(b) of the
Criminal Code of Canada

Possession of a Schedule I Substance – to wit Crystal Methamphetamine – Contrary to Section 4(1)
of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act

Fail to Comply with Probation – Contrary to Section 733.1(1) of the Criminal Code of Canada x3
Puffer was released on an undertaking with a future court date.
