Quinte West OPP – Teenager Killed After Being Struck By Vehicle in Trenton

(QUINTE WEST, ON) – The Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a fatal collision involving a motor vehicle and a pedestrian.

On May 6, 2021, at approximately 4:35 p.m., Quinte West OPP were dispatched to the intersection of King Street and Dufferin Avenue in Trenton where it was reported a youth on a scooter was struck by a vehicle. 

A 14 year old male from Quinte West was transported to hospital by paramedics in critical, life threatening condition and was later pronounced deceased.

The OPP Technical Collision Investigation (TCI) and Reconstruction teams investigated the scene. Anyone who witnessed the collision or with information is asked to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
