Peterborough County OPP – Four Drivers Charged With Stunt Driving Over the Weekend

SOME WERE IN A HURRY THIS WEEKEND

(CAVAN-MONAGHAN TOWNSHIP, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) clocked a vehicle travelling at 157km/h in the 100km/h zone on Highway 115 shortly after 9:00am on February 26, 2021. 

The 25 year old driver of Etobicoke, Ontario was charged with:

• Stunt driving in relation to excessive speed. 

(CAVAN-MONAGHAN TOWNSHIP, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) clocked a vehicle travelling at 154km/h in the 100km/h zone on Highway 115 shortly before 1:30pm on February 27, 2021.  

The 44 year old driver of Toronto, Ontario was charged with: 

• Stunt driving in relation to excessive speed. 

(CAVAN-MONAGHAN TOWNSHIP, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) clocked a vehicle travelling at 160km/h in the 100km/h zone on Highway 115 shortly after 3:30pm on February 27, 2021.

The 20 year old driver of Bowmanville, Ontario was charged with:

• Stunt driving in relation to excessive speed

(MANVERS TOWNSHIP, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) clocked a vehicle travelling at 153km/h in the 100km/h zone on Highway 115 shortly after 2:30pm on February 28, 2021.

The 41 year old driver of Courtice, Ontario was charged with:

• Stunt driving in relation to excessive speed

All of the accused had their driver’s licence suspended and vehicle impounded for seven days. 

All of the accused are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on April 12, 2021.
