Vehicle Seized and Licence Suspended for Seven Days

Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting radar patrol on Highway 7 early this morning.

Shortly after 2:00am, an officer clocked a vehicle travelling at 156km/h in a posted 80km/h zone.

The 22 year old driver of Peterborough, Ontario was charged with:

• Stunt driving in relation to excessive speed

The accused had their driver’s licence suspended and vehicle impounded for seven days.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on April 12, 2021.
