Update – Durham Police – Sexual Assault in Ajax

Investigators have arrested a suspect from a sexual assault investigation in Ajax.

Adam HALLIDAY, age 23, of No Fixed Address is charged with Sexual Assault. He was released on an Undertaking.

Anyone with new information about this investigation is asked to contact D/Cst. Shaddick of the West Division Criminal Investigations Bureau at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 2432.

Sexual Assault in Ajax

An investigation is underway after a 21-year-old vulnerable female reports being sexually assaulted in Ajax.

On Sunday, November 1, 2020 at approximately 4 p.m., the 21-year-old female was walking in the area of St. Andrews Community Centre on Exeter Road in Ajax when she was approached by a male, who began a conversation. The male offered her cigarettes and after several moments, began to touch her inappropriately. She was able to push him away and ran from the area and called 911.

Investigators have a suspect and the investigation continues.
