Cobourg Police – Warrant Arrest and Fail to Comply

On Saturday, October 3rd, 2020, at 11:38 am, police on general patrol observed a white Chevrolet Equinox in Cobourg’s downtown area. Police believed a wanted person was hiding inside the car.
As a result of police investigation:

Erin RUTHERFORD, a 22-year-old female from the Town of Cobourg was arrested on the strength of an outstanding committal warrant and charged with the following offence:  1. Breach of Release Order – Contrary to Section 145(5)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada

Cory KEERS, a 34-year-old male from the City of Peterborough was arrested and charged with: 1. Breach of Release Order – Contrary to Section 145(5)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada x2
RUTHERFORD and KEERS were held for bail hearings.
