The pop-up library will make accessing literature more convenient for patrons enjoying our beach
Cobourg, ON – On Saturday, May 19, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. the Cobourg Public Library will be reintroducing their successful “pop-up library” which allows our community members to participate in creating their own mini-library on the beach, by taking a book and adding a book in exchange.
There will be books donated by the authors of “Spirit of the Hills” art group, and poets of the “Cobourg Poetry Workshop,” and books from “Ink Bottle Press“. Local authors will also be providing the public with readings from their books at the launch event.
Library CEO, Tammy Robinson says: “We are committed to cultivating an interactive and inspired community, and are suggesting to users that they become involved in the take a book leave a book philosophy.”
Aside from Victoria Park Beach, there are four other pop-up locations at the Market Building, Cobourg Dog Park Northumberland Mall, and in front of the Police Station.
