Cobourg Council – Looking Ahead To Nicer Days

In City Hall

By Cecilia Nasmith/Today’s Northumberland
As Cobourg council’s Parks and Recreation Services Co-ordinator, Councillor Emily Chorley reported on many developments as the town gears up for another summer season.

At this week’s council meeting, she said the marina’s on-line services system will be open April 1. As well, staff are working on the RFP for electrical upgrades she said will be completed as soon as possible – “which will help increase the marina’s resilience to high lake levels.”

The greenhouse is gearing up for all the floral displays that make the town so beautiful. Mark your calendar for May 9, she said, which is their open-house date (“one of my favourite events of the year,” she noted).

An RFP has been issued for the operation of the beach canteen, with a March 10 closing date.
