Peterborough County OPP – Where’s The Beef?

(SELWYN TOWNSHIP, ON)-On Sunday, January 12, 2020 at 10:47am, members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to investigate a break-in at a butcher shop on Highway 7 south of Fowlers Corners.

The theft occurred between the hours of 11:22pm on Saturday, January 11, 2020 and 4:42am on Sunday, January 12, 2020. Three male suspects entered the butcher shop by forcing open a loading dock roll up door and stole meat products valued at approximately $25,000.
The suspects fled in a dark coloured, older model stepside Ford Ranger.

(OTONABEE-SOUTH MONAGHAN TOWNSHIP)-On Sunday, January 19, 2020 at 12:26pm, members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to investigate a break-in at a butcher shop on Drummond Line.

On Sunday, January 19, 2020 between the hours of 12:00am and 2:00am, the suspect(s) entered the butcher shop through the front door and stole meat products valued at approximately $80,000. Four large butcher knives were also stolen.

The investigations are ongoing.
