Cobourg Police – Man Charged with Mischief

A man has been charged with mischief after a parking meter was damaged.

On the 7th of December, at approx. 6:30 pm, Police responded to the downtown area for a report of a man attempting to steal money from a parking meter. A police investigation determined that no money had been stolen, however, a parking meter was rendered inoperable as a result of tampering.

33 year old Kory Trenouth of Cobourg was charged with Mischief under $5000 under section 430(4) of the Criminal Code and was released on a Promise to Appear.
